The Yorkshire Pudding

CARS AT OUR RALLIES

All our rallies are motorcycle or trike only rallies!

We only let two types of people into our rallies in cars or four wheeled vehicles: People who are part of the infrastructure such as organisers, bands, bar staff, food vendors etc.; and

Disabled bikers in cars.

At the 3 rallies we will have different amounts of cars. For example at the Farmyard Party approximately 1000 people come in four wheeled vehicles:

  • 150 catering staff
  • 100 bar staff
  • 30 litter pickers
  • 120 trade staff
  • 20 plus bands containing 10 people in the entourage etc

At the Into the Valley and the Yorkshire Pudding this number is around 200.

Most of these people have to get to the rally somehow and they are generally not bikers.

As you are aware we do make an exception for disabled bikers who unfortunately have to travel in cars. We do monitor the amount of people using this facility and we do liaise with the NABD and the equality organisations regarding all the Disability and the Equality legislation.

We have in the past had people abuse this concession and as such we have been put in the unfortunate position of having to implement rules regarding the entry of cars to our motorcycle only rallies. Below are items that we insist that you adhere to so we can all have a great stress free rally and you can continue to enjoy your rallying in the future.

We do not charge for car parking at our rallies and as such we retain the right of refusal without explanation at any time. Terms and conditions can be found in the information section of this website. Below is an explanation of the 6 rules we require you to abide by:

1. Cars only, no vans or campers.

2. Disabled biker plus one carer in a car. We will allow two children to travel as well in the car.

3. Everyone must pay and pre-book the car pass in advance. (Tickets for children are £10.00)

4. Your car will be put out of site in a car park. Your equipment will be transported for you by quad and trailer to any area you wish to camp in. We do have an area that is a designated disabled only camping area that is closer to the entertainments area. You will not be permitted to camp next to your car.

5. Your car pass allows you to bring your car and your equipment on to our rallies. We expect that you do not bring equipment or supplies for anyone else. Our quad drivers will refuse to take an unreasonable amount of supplies and equipment. We have worked on what a person can carry on a motorcycle as to what we will permit in a car.

6. We will allow you to bring two cases of beer in cans on site. In the past people allowed in cars have tried to sell beer. This is unacceptable and anyone caught doing this will be removed from the rally.

These points may seem very officious, but we have encountered each of these issues in the past and forewarned is forearmed. This way we will have no misunderstandings on your arrival.

Thank you for your help in this matter.
